Take Five Minutes Now and Save Yourself a Home Office Headache Later
I had a great need to conceal all the electrical cords in my home office. The sight of them sent me over the edge, as they look so messy. They actually distracted me until I was able to hide them from view. I finally got them nice and neat, meaning out of sight out of mind. Which was all well and good until ….
There came a time for me to identify which cord belonged to which item. Then I was stumped. So, I tediously figured it all out, and when I say tediously I am not exaggerating because I had two outlet strips full of plugs to work with, and the majority were the same colour.
I ended up attaching an adhesive file folder label to each cord that stated exactly what it belonged to. Yes, yes so simple. But that is precisely why I am writing aout it, to save you the inconvenience of only thinking about the need for this after you two have everything in its place, and thus at a loss for knowing what you were unplugging. This is really one of those times that I can’t stress enough to take a few minutes and just do it.
